The government of Lagos State is indeed prepared for the worst.

And one of the major indicators is the order to families of the dead to decongest overflowing mortuaries across the state by burying their dead within two weeks – with no fanfare and strict adherence to covid-19 keep safe rules.

Societynow.ng gathered that the move is directly aimed at preparing for the fatalities that may come with relaxing restrictions on movements.

Insiders confirmed that before yesterday’s broadcast by President Muhammadu Buhari that announced lowering the guard on restricted movements in Lagos, Ogun, and Abuja from Monday, May 4, 2020 – Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his team already envisaged and started planning towards it.

” Backed with statics from other places that suffered increased rates of infections and increased deaths after they removed restrictions on movements and hypothetical situations drawn up by in-house experts, the Sanwo-Olu team took the major steps to free up morgues and increase numbers of isolation centers in preparation for the worst’ societynow.ng learned.

Societynow.ng gathered that the Lagos Government has converted hotels in the outskirts of the state, Badagry – the location another safety measure – as isolation centers.
