Senator representing Ogun East, Gbenga Daniel, and Deputy Governor of Ogun state Noimot Salako – Oyedele were captured exchanging hearty greetings on Saturday, October 28, 2023.
The development which comes amid a bitter face-off between Senator Daniel and Governor Dapo Abiodun transpired at the wedding ceremony of Mirian, the daughter of Bakai Okedara.
Okedara is a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The marriage ceremony that attracted other chieftains of the APC including influential politician Bode Mustapha, Ogun state APC Chairman Yemi Sanusi was held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) Event Center in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The Ogun state Deputy Governor attended the event in the company of her very politically grounded husband, Bode Oyedele.
The exchange between Senator Daniel and Deputy Governor Salako-Oyedele was very warm and “filled with mutual respect and there was no tension” according to those in the know.
The development is a far cry from pre-election actions of staying away from the campaigns and that has to do with Senator Daniel by all those associated with Governor Abiodun
as well as the recent partial demolition and shut down of a 5-storey building – DATKEM Plaza, owned by his wife, Olufunke Daniel by the Ogun state government.
