Senator Adeola Yayi Says No Battle With Abiodun, Pledges “Steadfast Support” To Gov
“the Governor is my leader and mentor”
The Senator representing Ogun West, Solomon Olamilekan Abiodun says he is not in any competition with Governor Dapo Abiodun.
“There is no truth whatsoever in the story as the Governor is my leader and mentor in the party as well as my governor. As a loyal member of APC, there is no way I will be in any battle with my leader and governor on party issues or indeed governance issues as the governor is faithfully implementing policies and programmes of the party in his administration of the state” the Senator stated in reaction to the story published by SocietyNow.Ng about shoring up political influence in boosting his chances of becoming the next Governor of Ogun State.
The claims are that the moves that have seeped into another political zone – Ogun Central – have put him on a different footing with Governor Dapo Abiodun.
But the Senator labeled the best chance of the low votes area of Yewa in producing the Governor of Ogun state for the first time, in some quarters, tagged the story as “speculative issues of phantom competition” in a report monitored by SocietyNow.Ng on Theencounter.com.ng.
Talking down claims regarding intentional efforts to achieve his gubernatorial ambition, the news platform reported Senator Adeola as “stressing that the issue of governorship of Ogun State in 2027 is a matter to be addressed by the leaders of the party in Ogun State and other relevant stakeholders at the appropriate time.”
Quoted as insisting that ” he is working towards fulfilling his promises to his constituents as well as complementing the good works of the governor” the Senator reportedly pledged his “steadfast support to the Governor, declaring that “No one should distract us from implementing policies of the party for the people at all levels with contrived . We are working to ameliorate the dire economic circumstances facing the people and this is not the time for party politics but governance. I will continue my steadfast support for the governor”.
