“Say A Prayer For Me” – Pastor Iluyomade Urges All As He Adds A Year
the latest in a series of consistent social media updates
Pastor Idowu Iluyomade has requested prayers from all and sundry.
The lead pastor at The Family Fellowship—which he founded with his wife, Pastor Siju Iluyomade—made the appeal as part of his birthday celebration.
“Say a prayer for me. I am grateful for life today and forever,” the former pastor at the City of David—a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) known for its gathering of A-list worshippers—posted on social media on May 14, 2025.
The message was shared a few minutes after another post that read “Happy Birthday to Me,” accompanied by a graphic with the message: “Happy Birthday to my honey suckle. Another year older and still radiant in my eyes—just as I met you 46 years ago. I wish you God’s blessings, joy, laughter, and all your heart desires. Love you today and forever.”
The note was signed by Siju Iluyomade, his wife.

The birthday post is the latest in a series of consistent social media updates that have kept the couple in the public eye following their exit from the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
The pastors, who left RCCG in 2024, launched The Family Fellowship in January 2025. Since then, they have grown the new ministry from fewer than 40 pioneer members to slightly over 200 regular attendees as of the first week of April 2025.
The couple departed RCCG amid widespread public criticism and sanction following the extravagant 60th birthday celebration of Pastor Siju Iluyomade—held just days after the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of influential banker Herbert Wigwe, his wife, son, and their friend, Bimbo Ogunbanjo.
