Dan Nwanyanwu, the former national chairman of Labour Party has pointed to underground moves to sack leadership of the Senate as defined by the Emergence of Senator Bukola Saraki as Senate President and Ike Ekweremadu as Deputy Senate President.

Dan Nwanyanwu
He made the assertion on national television and pleaded not be allowed to elaborate.
The connected politician was on Channels Television morning show on Thursday June 24 when he made the disclosure.
Independent digs by societynowng.com however reveals ongoing underground attempts that might see Nwanyanwu’s disclosure come through.
It is an open secret that Senator Saraki became Senate President against the direct wishes of his party- the All Progressives Congress.
He had utilised rapport with his former party, People’s Democratic Party to achieve his aim.
An action that gave the PDP opportunity to produce the deputy senate president an APC controlled Senate and government.
Findings revealed after a cacophony of rejections of the development (Here is a link for background – http://societynowng.com/Discordant-Tunes-As-APC-Vows-To-Dish-Out-Sanctions-While-Presidency-Tacitly-Backs-Emergence-Of-Bukola-Saraki-As-Senate-President), the party when on to adopt a public attitude of acceptance for peace to reign.
Fresh digs however revealed as inferred by Nwanyanwu there is a raging conflict behind the public posture.
Sources confirmed negotiation, political horse trading , moves and counter moves are intensely ongoing to see whether the APC leadership can topple the Senate Leadership and have it’s way.
‘ it was the heat of this raging discord that saw Saraki and his loyalist go see baba Obasanjo to starve off the onslaught against him and mediate for a truce to be perfected’ an insider divulged
Further revelations have it that though Obasanjo acting as a non partisan elder state man is mediating and an a window of compromise opened- the terms of ‘peace appears’ not to guarantee Senate President Saraki’s continuous stay in office.
‘that is the immediate cause of the battle for leadership position in the senate and by extension house of representatives as well’ another informants disclosed.
Just like the Senate President, the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives equally came into office against the wish of his party, APC.
He equally rode into position on the strength of the support of rival party, People’s Democratic Party.
And judging from recent revelations like Saraki the party appears out ensured he doesn’t stay long in the saddle.
‘the ongoing fight for filling other positions is more about test of strength and political clout to determine whether the party, that is APC with large percentage of loyalty to Asiwaju Tinubu and his co travellers, still has the will to achieve it’s aim or the Senate President and Reps Speakers and their backers in opposition as mastered the means to tame the party machinery’ another insider analysed.
Findings however revealed whichever way it plays out, one thing stands out – trust between the Speaker and Senate President on one hand and the Party leaders on the other hand appears broken down and the fight will only end in winners take all for one of the sides sooner or later.
