Reps Member Explains Why He Addressed Tinubu As “Mr. President”

Abubakar Lado Suleja, the House of Representatives member who addressed Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as “Mr President” has explained his reasons.

Suleja was part of the Northern cause of the House of Representatives led by Deputy Speaker Ahmed Wase that paid a solidarity visit to Tinubu in Lond after minor surgery.

The Federal lawmaker representing Suleja/Tafa/Gurara Federal Constituency of Niger State told Tinubu who is the National leader of his party, the ruling All Progressives Congress “Mr President, see you soon.” in the viral video.

Mr Suleja put his comments in context in chat with dailytrust with the explanation that

“No, we don’t have two presidents, maybe you didn’t listen to the video very well because when I said Mr President, Insha Allah followed it, which means by God’s grace.

“We are praying for him to become the future president of Nigeria. We have only one president who is President Muhammadu Buhari, who is the leader of our party and our mentor but we are praying for Asiwaju to be the next president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and continue from where President Buhari will stop. That is what I meant.”
