Reported Fresh Crisis In Ondo PDP Over Appointment Of Jonathan/Sambo Campaign DG, A Whimper Attempt At Relevance By Defeated Guber Candidate, Olusola Oke -Insiders Assert

Information filtering in to societynowng.com revealed, reports of alleged fresh crisis in the ranks of the Ondo state People’s Democratic Party over appointment of the Director General of the Presidential re election campaign committee in the state is ’ a whimper’ attempt by defeated Gubernatorial candidate, Olusola Oke at relevance.

According to inside sources, ‘what actually happened is that, the man wants to use the position to launch himself back to reckoning….but unfortunately for him and fortunately for the party a more professional and loyal party man, Tokunbo Modupe was chosen’

According to digs by societynowng.com, Modupe defined by his successes as an established and grounded perception and reputation manager – and entrepreneur was chosen as the state’s Director General of the President’s re election campaign over a month ago.

The man who redefined public relations as helms man of game changing TPT (The Preferred Team) reportedly enhanced his status in the politics of Ondo state with long term community support provision services, youths empowerment and sports development initiatives.

Further digs revealed Oke had attempted to lobby his way into the presidential campaign committee D.G position, and gone as far attempting to co opt the national leadership of the party, but faced with Modupe’s credentials his efforts proved futile.

According a source ‘he embarked on smear campaign as a move of last resort, and in so doing played into the hands of with information to do as they wish’.

Informants further disclosed Oke is fast adopting the toga of a ‘spoiler’ because of the loss of inherent political gains that comes with what has befallen him.

‘he wanted to use the presidential campaign D.G position as a relaunch back to reckoning and attempt at placing himself in vantage position to grasp party machinery already in the clasp of Governor Mimiko’ a source disclosed.

Another insider within the party sums up the situation, ‘the issue is this, since Mimiko returned to PDP with more active and vibrant following after he defeated Oke to retain his seat….the former gubernatorial aspirants political stature has become greatly diminished. Unfortunately for him, he is battling a superior political player. And seen that he cannot match Mimiko play by play in the unfolding battle for control, he has resorted to actions which he believes might help wipe up public sentiment but is furthering the end of the opposition by providing ammunition for propaganda
