In spite of his party winning the Presidential election, Governor of Ogun state – Ibikunle Amosun is certainly not leaving his re election attempt to chances.

Sources disclosed the re election seeking state headman has simply ‘opened the vaults’ in last minute attempt at ensuring he succeeds.

According to sources on ground the lovable husband of Olufunsho is spending more than ever to get voters to side.

Digs by societynowng.com revealed that the governor has ‘mobilised’ his handlers to in turn ‘mobilised’ agents to canvass for votes all round the state, with special focus on the interior arrears.

Outside this, the state helms man seeking to retain his position has equally unleashed a series of big budget image cleaning initiatives that spans television and radio adverts, appreciative packages to artisan and professional groups, gifts and encouragement put together for supporters and other sympathy drawing gestures.

Added to the mix are said to be special budget at nibbling away at the support base of the opposition, getting some of the members of the opposition to effect last minute defection and others to stay in place but working for the governor’s success underground.

Governor Amosun faces a poll of resources of different opposition, including a breakaway faction of his All Progressives Congress operating under the emblem Social Democratic Party in his bid to retain his seat.
