But an Oyo state High Court sitting in Ogbomoso upturned his enthronement on October 25, 2023.
The court in a case instituted by Kabir Laoye, one of the contestants for the throne, ordered the Oyo state government not to appoint anyone to the position until the case is determined according to information monitored on Church Gist.
The Soun will appeal the ruling according to the information at hand.
The RCCG Pastor was installed as the successor to Oba Jimoh Oyewumi Ajagungbade III, who joined his ancestors in December 2021, at the age of 95 years after a 48-year reign.
