After over three months, former Minister Rauf Aregbesola returned to mainstream outings.

He was a part of the 40th anniversary lecture of the Guardian Newspaper on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.

Aregbesola’s appearance and the people he mixed freely are further fueling talks that he is making peace with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The former Governor of Ondo state was particularly seen hobnobbing with Aremo Olusegun Osoba.

Osoba, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), is one of the closest persons to President Tinubu.

An unappointed part of the Tinubu administration, the elder statesman is known to take up troubleshooting roles in tasking political situations on behalf of the President.

That Aregbesola was at ease, and spent a prolonged time in discussion, with those with strong links to President Tinubu at the event has turned talking point since yesterday.

Aregbesola gave strong wings to the talks by posting pictures of his interactions, including with Osoba, on social media.

This development comes more than 12 weeks after he made a post on social media (Facebook).

Before he dropped out of reckoning, Aregbesola was the second most powerful person in the political family of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He, however, lost the position as a result of an intricate political feud that spiraled out of control.
