Questions Raised Over Death Of Finance Director Bassey Etang In The Face Of Probe Into Multi-Billion Naira Spending By NDDC

Ibanga Bassey Etang, the acting Finance Director at the Niger Delta Development Commission is dead.

His death comes in the face of a probe of multi-billion Marie spending by the commission over the years.

The probe was ordered by President Muhammadu Buhari as part of the system cleansing efforts to put the nation on a strong foundation for the future.

The National Assembly has initiated the probe which has raised a lot of dust before the death of Bassey Etang in a manner labeled “controversial”.

According to investigate journalist Fisayo Soyombo who confirmed the incident earlier today – Thursday, May 28, 2020 “Sources are saying this death isn’t ordinary and that they suspect food poisoning.

“His body has been wheeled to the ‘Holding Area’, called ‘COVID-19 Area’, of Braithwaite Memorial Hospital, Port Harcourt.

“Whatever the intention is, we’ll find out soon.”
