Musical Twin brothers – Psquare are in trouble with a national newspaper.

Sources confirmed the identity of the aggressor medium as Sun Publishing Limited- publishers of Sun Newspapers.

Findings by societynowng.com revealed the management of the newspaper house has black listed the top earning performers.

Insiders trace this development to a N10m performance fee demand from the publishing house by Peter and Paul Okoye via their managers.

The demand was made when the musician’s were approached to be a part of the recently held Sun Awards.

The A-list event held on Saturday, February 23 2013 at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island- Lagos.

Sources claimed the management of Sun Publishing ( doubling as organisers of the event) felt slighted when the musicians’ manager demanded a flat rate of N10m for the artistes to perform.

‘They out rightly refused any form of reduction- not even a discount’ an insider claimed.

Sources claimed the deal handled by a former staffer of Sun Publishing and popular P.R person refused to see the light of the day due to the Twin brothers hard posture.

International acclaimed ‘king of world beat’ – King Sunny Ade filled the void at the event. He was paid what is labelled ‘a befitting performance fee’

The management of Sun view it a ‘huge slight’ and ‘ disrespect’ to the organisation and media in general.

They decided to correct the anomaly by black listing the duo in house – and that ‘at worst they should pay for services from the Sun’

Insiders revealed the decision took immediate effect.

A follower of the occurrence analysed ‘this shows the waning influence of the conventional media in the face of increasing influence of the entertainers…and it takes a drastic and concerted effort to correct this’

Peter and Paul Okoye are regarded as one of the top earners in the entertainment industry- with growing clout in the real estate world.
