‘Political Theatrics’ ‘Why Is The Ward Chairman Laughing?’ ‘Is This Really Necessary?’ And Other Social Media Reactions To Ex President Olusegun Obasanjo’s Dumping Of PDP, Shredding Of Membership Card

Earlier in the day Ex President Olusegun Obasanjo publicly announced his disassociation from political party, People’s Democratic Party during a visit by leaders of his ward.

The highlight of the development was the shredding of party membership card by the ward chairman at the instance of the former party leader.

The occurrence has attracted widespread reactions particularly his subsequent

Olusegun Obasanjo

expulsion by the state chapter of the party.

Baba is really mad and angry at Good luck and his administration well no point being in PDP any longer. What surprises me most is the way people in PDP talk back and openly disrespect Baba when at 2011 non of them played any significant role in he becoming President. Clark, Dokubo, Kayode, and a host of many others were unknown but now the call the roast. LIFE

Well…so many of us burnt our old books in primary and secondary schools, many on us were made by those little things we learnt and wrote down in those books. but time came for us to discard them and we did. Same with OBJ, he is done with the card and don’t need it anymore.

Baba Iyabo, The last time I heard about you, I was told that at 77, you have gone back to school for your Masters and PHD. If this is true, why don’t you face your studies leave out unnecessary politics, utterances and petty acts that could ruin your status as an elder statesman.

somebody should please tell me if OBJ is the only elder states man Nigeria has? Why is he heating up the polity unnecessarily. some former heads of state are still alive and behaving plus respecting themselves. OBJ has just one vote. that is if he will vote on election day. I used to be a great fan of his but right now im getting pissed off with all his recent out burst
