Police Expand Investigation Into First Bank’s N200m Fraud, Release Managers On Bail

Investigators at the Special Fraud Unit, Milverton road- Ikoyi have expanded the scope of probe into a N200m fraud rocking financial institution, First Bank.

Agents at the place arrested and detained two managers at the bank (Sola Osundina, Branch Manager of Daleko Arm and Sola Carew, Branch Manager of Matori branch) as involved in the fraudulent conduct – while a marketer Joy Lucas~Uche, at Matori branch was declared wanted over the matter, along with her hubby.

Fresh updates coming in revealed- the Managers are out on bail. And scope of investigations into the matter expanded.

Disclosed a source ‘they have made useful statements to the police…and this has broadened probe into the matter. The investigators have started questioning other staffers as well, to determine how far spread the fraud is and help determine ways to curtail such in the future.’

Sources confirmed part of the terms for the release of the managers is that, they report at specific dates to investigators office and whenever summoned.

Further digs revealed runaway bank marketer indicted in the fraud- Joy Uche lucas and her hubby, Lucas Uche are still on the wanted list.

Disclosed an insider ‘they have refused to show up and explained what they known about the development- and the police are still very much after them’

Just like she did not respond to enquiry on the initial news break, Bank spokesperson, Folake Ani-Mumuney did not reply probe on the latest twist.
