Some pleasant sights at today’s Igbo Day celebration in Enugu the eternal capital of the Igbo Nation.
While we continue to celebrate our unique cuture and tradition as a people, we will not forget to remind our people of the need to give our all to building a liveable and prosperous homeland. This is the course we must commit ourselves to as we build enduring infrastructure across the region.
At today’s outing I paid glowing tributes to our heroes past who, through prudent management of resources, built our region from the scratch, setting it apart as the fastest growing economy of the first republic.
We will continue to celebrate who we are, ensuring that we find wisdom in knowing that Ndi Igbo as an itinerant people cannot afford to be an intolerant people within the Nigerian framework.
