Photos As Lagos Govt Intensifies Efforts To Take Banned Food Containers Out Of Circulation

The Lagos state government is leaving no stone unturned in efforts to take banned food containers, Styrofoam out of circulation.

The man at the forefront of the unrelenting moves to make Lagos state a better place for business and living, Tokunbo Wahab – Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources shared the latest efforts on Friday, March 29, 2024.

Wahab is championing the “Cleaner Lagos” and “Greater Lagos” wrote “Officials from the enforcement agencies under the Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources on Thursday intensified the mopping up of banned styrofoam food containers across markets in the state”

And, also shared the featured pictures to validate the narrative he made on his social media handle.

The Lagos state Government banned the use of Styrofoam food containers for health and environmental reasons. The ban came into effect after weeks of notice.

The development is part of concerted efforts that include opening up drainage channels and increased enforcement of sanitation laws to make Lagos state a better place for all.
