PDP Wins All But Oyetola’s Area In Osun Assembly Elections

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) won all but the seat in the stronghold of former Governor Gboyega Oyetola in the Osun State House of Assembly election.

The party of incumbent Governor Demola Adeleke won 25 out of the 26 House of Assembly seats available in the state.

According to official results release by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on the election which was held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, Oyetola’s party won only Boripe / Boluwaduro state constituency.

Boripe/Boluwaduro state Constituency is the domain of Oyetola who was limited to a single term in office by Adeleke’s win in July 16, 2022, Osun gubernatorial election.

The election tribunal has, however, canceled Adeleke’s electoral victory and awarded it to Oyetola.

The Governor is fighting the election tribunal’s ruling in court.
