…how Ogun front man came up with option of lesser sacrifice

Governor of Ogun state, Ibikunle Amosun has decided that after the legacy of a 10 lane road project is not worth the ire of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

The incumbent state head is said to have given words to handlers of his ten lane road expansion project to avoid the dear property of chief Olusegun Obasanjo initially marked for demolition to actualise the dream.

The fence of the 25 hectares Obasanjo Presidential library was initially marked for a pull down to allow a 8.6metres cut into the land to accommodate the road expansion project.

However it appears operating on the wise counsel of the gains of such an action not worth the trouble that comes with – Governor Amosun ordered a pull back from the exercise.

His big money hotel is located on the ‘’other side’’ of the road.

It is described as a massive edifice nearing completion, initially seized from the former governor by the incumbent at the height of their political differences -but later quietly returned.

The mega structure said to be located near NNPC petrol station on the way to Oke Mosan in state capital, Abeokuta is said targeted for ‘’part’’ demolition.

‘’The fence would naturally go…how well into the land the project would cut into is what i can’t readily confirm’’ a source stated.

Another informant is however of the opinion the ‘’demolition’’ may not really go beyond the fence of the compound housing the structure, because the hotel is already situated far back from the road.

‘’Daniels left a lot of space…like there was a foresight of something like this happening’’ a source divulged.

The 10lane road expansion project is meant to run from Abeokuta to Shagamu, but planned to be done in phases according to emerging details.

The initial phase forcing decisions to protect ‘’political interests’’ is said to be from ‘’Oke Igbein government house to the interchange’’ in state capital, Abeokuta.
