According to the petition, the hoodlums arrived in a Lagos-colour-painted Volkswagen bus with no registration number unleashing violence on the members of the APC Likeminds. They also destroyed their public address system and benches while scores of members were attacked with matchetes and broken bottles.

According to the group, in the ensuing violence, Mr Olufunmilayo Alabi was cut in the face while Dr Ariyo Akiode was battered in the head, just as scores of other members sustained one injury or the other.

“Information however has it that Musiliu Akinsanya a.k.a. MC in tandem with Hon Bolaji Muse-Ariyoh masterminded the act of violence,” the statement noted.

According to the petition, perpetrators of the violent attack include: one Olamide a.k.a. Pure Water; Dada a.k.a. Sparko; Murtala a.k.a. Justo; and Kehinde a.k.a. Fowosere. “Also included are Jenbe and Eba, a bouncer at Marablefilled Hotel,” the petition added.

The petition concluded with, “We hereby plead with Your Excellency and the Chairman of APC, Lagos State to assist us on this issue which is capable of negatively affecting the fortunes of our party and give room for detractors to find campaign tools against our party”.
