Orji Kalu Shares Newfound Greetings With Yahaya Bello
Senator representing Abia North
Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has shared his newfound way of greeting friends with former Governor Yahaya Bello.
The Senator representing Abia North extended his signature “OUK Hug” to the immediate past governor of Kogi State.
“I extended the ‘OUK HUG’ to my brother and friend, ex-Gov. Yahaya Bello, as we celebrated Boxing Day together at my residence,” Kalu posted on social media alongside a picture on December 26, 2024.

Bello’s visit to Kalu’s home marks his first publicly disclosed outing since securing bail in the high-profile N80.2 billion corruption case against him.

Kalu, who was also prosecuted for alleged corruption after leaving office as the Governor of Abia State in 2007, attracted public interest with his new style of greeting.

This followed back-to-back posts of him hugging President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
Leveraging the public reaction, Kalu branded his adopted way of showing closeness with friends as the “OUK Hug” to deflect criticism.
