Opeyemi Bamidele Charges Super Eagles To Be Determined & Committed To Overcome Elephants Of Cote d’Ivore
Federal House of Representative Member Opeyemi Bamidele has charged the nation’s soccer team, Super Eagles that determination and commitment are the major factors that will see them overcome opponent, Elephant of Cote D’ivore and advance to the Semi Final stage of the on going continental tournament, Africa Nations Cup.
The politician with interest in taking over as Governor of Ekiti state in the next general election made this known in a press release made available to societynowng.com and reproduced below
‘The member representing the Ekiti Central Federal Constituency1 in Ekiti Central constituency,, Honourable Michael Opeyemi Bamidele (MOB) has urged the Super Eagles of Nigeria to go all out against the Elephants of Cote d’ Ivore and subdue them in the quarter final of the on-going Africa Cup of Nations holding in South Africa.
‘Hon. Bamidele in a press statement said beating the Elephants of Cote d’ Ivore should not be an impossible task for the Eagles noting that the Nigerian side has the Pedigree and capability of being the African Champions.
‘According to him, the Supper Eagles if well coordinated can beat any other team in Africa.
‘Honourable Opeyemi Bamidele therefore charged the Supper Eagles to re-enact their winning formula and make Nigeria proud by beating the Ivorean side in the quarter final duel of the AFCON 2013.
‘He noted that with determination and commitment the Supper Eagles will overcome the Elephants.
According to Hon. Bamidele Nigerians are thirsty and are desperately waiting to drink from the African Nations Cup.
‘Honourable Bamidele who was a former commissioner for Sports in Lagos state said nineteen years after winning the Africa Cup of Nations, it was high time Nigeria won the Cup again.
‘He said if other countries like Egypt and Ghana had won the Cup four times each, then Nigeria has no reason not to win the Cup this time around.
‘According to him, Nigeria only won the Cup in 1980 & 1994.
He therefore charged Nigerians to support and pray for the Supper Eagles to win their match on Sunday.
“It is important we all rally round the Eagles to win their match on Sunday” Opeyemi said. ‘
