Ooni Tells Why All “Obidients”, “Atikulates” & Others Should Join Hands With Tinubu

Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi has urged all those aggrieved over the February 28, 2023, presidential election to let go of their grievances and come together to support President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in moving the nation forward.

‘As the presidential inauguration approaches, I beseech you all, young and old, Obidients and Atikulates, hopeful and weary, amiable and passionate, to lay down your arms. There is no reason to waste time looking back; all we have is today and the future. Now is the time to embrace our diversity and uniqueness.

‘We may differ in opinions and approaches to achieving better Nigeria, but we all want a nation that we can be proud of. Let us come together to support the vision of Asiwaju Gbogbo Ile Oodua.” Ooni stated in statement he put out.

Obidients is the appellation for supporters of Peter Obi, the Labour Party Presidential candidate for the February 28, election while Atikulates is used for canvassers of the Flag bearer of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.

The inauguration of the winner of the election, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the next president of Nigeria is scheduled for May 29, 2023.

Ooni made the call after he hosted a meeting with Tinubu involving those he described as “some of the most powerful, significant, and influential catalysts for our restoration of Africa.”

And listed them as Francis Koskei, Kenya’s Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service, a representative sent by President William Ruto, President of Kenya (East Africa)

Also named as part of the meeting are Aliko Dangote, Governor Dapo Abiodun, Fintech expert Kunmi Demuren and Harry Ebohen.
