Governor of Ogun state, Ibikunle Amosun has backpedalled on his ‘i don’t care attitude’ with the media.
The governor credited with the infamous ‘you can go and write anything you like’ just staged a breakfast meeting for about ‘seventy media men’.
The development reportedly transpired at the government house Abeokuta on Tuesday March 3 2014.
Sources confirmed the ploy was to unleash a barrage of the re election seeking governor’s achievements for the past four years.

creating a media buzz that would play up a facade of popularity towards the last days of election and right into the election.
‘His handlers did a clinical assessment and they realised that, one of his major failing his poor media perception….he has a bad image in the media which as rubbed of opinions on the streets. They are trying to redress the situation’ an insider divulged.
Further revelations have it that at the special breakfast meeting, Mr Governor adopted a mien that was a radically departure from what he is known for.
‘He was all humble, stooping as low as to help his media guests with getting their breakfast!’ an insider revealed.
He really worked at attempting to erase unfavourable portrayals and opinions amongst his guests societynowng.com learnt.
Insiders further disclosed he used the opportunity to equally regale the media gurus of all his achievements since he assumed office.
According to an insider ‘even achievements that are debatable were laid claim to’.
Added disclosure have it that with the meetings of the ‘media gurus’ out of the way, the governor and his handlers are working on ‘mending fences’ with the field men, so that the play to leverage on facade of street popularity right into election days would come off seamlessly.
