NTDA D.G, Folorunsho Coker Hails Tinubu For Appointing Minister Of Tourism

Folorunsho Coker, the Director General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Authority (NTDA) has praised President Bola Tinubu for creating a stand-alone Ministry of Tourism.

“We are immensely grateful to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for recognizing the potential of tourism as a cornerstone for Nigeria’s economic progress”, Coker who relentlessly campaigned for the development stated.

He added that ” the creation of the stand-alone Ministry of Tourism underscores the significance of this sector, both as an engine for economic growth and a catalyst to showcasing Nigeria’s rich heritage and its beauty in diversity to the world.”

Coker whose performance – and passionate push – helped to transform the Nigerian National Tourism Corporation (NTDC) into the more value-adding Nigerian Tourism Development Authority (NTDA) says the appointment of Lola Ade-John as Minister for Tourism is “precisely what is needed”.

“We believe your wealth of experience in information and disruptive technology brings a fresh perspective to our vibrant industry, and your leadership is precisely what is needed to propel Nigerian tourism to greater heights during this pivotal time”, the Director General declared in a statement that welcomed the Minister on behalf of the Management and Staff of the Nigerian Tourism Development Authority.

Lola Ade-John, the Minister for Tourism is an established Information and Technology expert with a 30years wealth of experience decorated with professional footprints at Shell Petroleum Development Company Of Nigeria, Magnum Trust Bank (a part of Sterling Bank), Access Bank Plc, United Bank for Africa and Eco Bank.

She was appointed Minister from the position of Principal Consultant at Novateur Business Technology Consultants, the firm she founded in 2014.
