Nigerian Air Force Gets United States’ Commendation For Counter-Terrorism Efforts

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has been praised for its sustained efforts in combating terrorism.

During a high-level meeting at NAF HQ, Abuja, on 4 March, senior NAF officials engaged with a U.S. delegation, led by Jessica Long, to strengthen security cooperation, intelligence sharing, and operational support.

The U.S. acknowledged NAF’s intelligence-driven approach in disrupting terrorist networks and securing strategic regions.

AVM Ibikunle Daramola reaffirmed NAF’s commitment to national security, highlighting efforts to enhance precision-driven operations while minimizing collateral damage. He emphasized the importance of international partnerships in tackling evolving security threats and called for increased collaboration in specialized training, advanced technology transfer, and capacity-building initiatives to further bolster counter-terrorism operations.
