‘’My Parents Told Me I Could Be Gov’’ Ondo Speaker, Oloyelogun Declares 4Days To Guber Election

The Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Bamidele Oloyelogun, had declared that he may become the Governor of the state.

Oloyelogun based this disclosure on what his parents told him.

‘’ They would also tell me that I could become a governor’’ the speaker stated.

The revelation comes amid a keen contest to determine the next Governor of Ondo state on Saturday, October 10, 2020.

The speaker made the disclosure during a tour – in Ondo North Senatorial District – to enlighten, mobilize, and engage residents of the state on the need to have a peaceful and credible election.

‘’ “I want to beg them to please allow peace to reign so that we can have a peaceful election.

“I also appeal to parents not to allow their children to be used as thugs. If I was used as a thug, I would not be where I am today.

“My parents, when I was young, would tell me that I should not get involved in thuggery. They would also tell me that I could become a governor…’’Oyelogun stated as part of his campaign for a peaceful election on Saturday.

Oyelogun a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress is not one of the candidates on the ballot papers.

Re-election seeking Governor Rotimi Akeredolu is the candidate of his party.
