Henry Seriake Dickson, the former Governor of Bayelsa State has revealed extraordinary closeness to the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona.

The former Governor’s revelations about his relationship with the respected monarch are contained in a post that reads

Glad to have spoken with my father and king, Alayeluwa Kabiyesi Oba Dr. Sikiru Kayode Adetona CFR, Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebu Land.

I am happy to know that he, his Olori and everyone else in the royal household are doing well. He is sitting on the ancient and revered throne of our illustrious forefathers.

Kabiyesi has brought great strides, peace and development to Ijebuland in his long and illustrious reign and continues to make contributions and sacrifices even at old age.

He is the the longest serving monarch in the whole of Yorubaland and in Nigeria, and continues to show the quintessential attributes of an authentic African Monarch.

I am proud of my maternal Ijebu Royal Heritage just as I am equally proud of my paternal Ijaw Royalty in the Kpadia Royal Family of Tarakiri Kingdom and I thank Kabiyesi for graciously allocating me a choice plot of land in Ijebu-Ode.

Kabiyesi has always ordered me to develop it as he did again today and I have assured him that I will do so especially now that I am free to spend more time with Kabiyesi, the Fidipote Royal Family members and others.

My Cousins in the Fidipote Royal Family, my Regberegbe and my friends will at least leave me alone after I build a bungalow

Good to have also spoken with the head of the Fidipote Royal House and Chairman of the Council of Otunbas, Otunba Wahab Osinusi, the head of my family. I am pleased to know that they are all doing well and I hope to visit them soon.
