Former Lagos Commissioner, Ademorin Aliu Kuye says story of publicly beating up a party member, Olugbenga Hakeem Abdullahi was orchestrated by his enemies to ”score cheap political point”
The former commissioner for Local Government and Chieftancy was said to have beaten up his victim on Friday April 4 2014 at a gathering a political gathering.
”The development that started off with what was labelled ‘surprise slaps and blows that threw Gbenga off his seat’ transpired at Somolu Local Government Banquet Hall during a crucial political gathering” was part of the story that circulated on different media platforms, including mentions on Radio stations.
But reaching out to societynowng.com via e-mail two years later, the former commissioners claims ”it was the handiwork of a disgruntled politician”
He went further to assert ”The story is absolutely false and it’s aimed at scoring cheap political point by my enemies. It is callous and very wicked. It does not represent who I am and equally attacked my faith.”
The politician equally took pain to explain pictures that were circulated with the story back then
”The picture of the supposed victim was taken in his state of drunkenness and very unfair to him and his family. I was not anywhere close to where his picture was taken. The picture of me attached to the story, is the one taken during the swearing in ceremony in July 2011 and all local governments had same.”
”I state unequivocally that this story is not true” he insists in his e-mail message signed Kuye A.A
