After the social effects of COVID-19 erased Livespot X Festival (LXF) from the festive calendar last year, the entertainment festival returns even bigger this year, with health and safety protocols in place, and with a parade of Grammy-winning and nominated A-list stars such as Wizkid and Tems, alongside Tiwa Savage, P-Square and other supporting acts like Buju, Omah Lay, Simi, Ckay, Ladipoe, Wurld, BlaqBonez, Jer, Lovn, ShowDemCamp, Lady Donli and several others.

Also, there will be specially curated events at the festival for the Gen Zs between the ages of 13 and 20 tagged the “Gen Z Republik” which runs daily from 11am to 5pm on December 16 to 20 at the soon-to-be-unveiled Livespot Entertainment Center, Ikate Lekki. The event is set to feature games, creator spaces, dance, art and live music performances by young rave-of-the-moment superstars.

The Livespot X Festival which is an exclusive annual project of creative collective Livespot360 will, this year, be a six-day series of immersive, multi-sensory, hybrid events at the purpose-built event arena, Livespot Entertainment Center. It promises to be a Detty December with its line-up of over 50 incredible live performances amplified by quality sound, psychedelic lighting and special acts that re-ignite the party fever.

Ever since global event venues were reopened, Nigeria’s favourite music stars have been shutting down venues across the US and UK with incredible performances in their touring concerts. Earlier this year, Wizkid won Best Music Video alongside Pop icon Beyonce and Blue Ivy with the collaborative track titled ‘Brown Skin Girl.’

This December, LXF will be a major homecoming for Wizkid and Tems who have been nominated yet again at the 64th edition of the Grammys.

This festival of the season hopes to revive nightlife and set an unprecedented record of quality that Livespot360 is known for. In 2019, Cardi B turned up the heat in Lagos with an unforgettable night of performances of her hits tracks which were already global anthems for many hip-hop heads.

For this season of LXF, the sensual soul singer, Tems known for her global smash hit song with Wizkid, ‘Essence’ will headline the first day of the festival. Africa’s number one bad girl, Tiwa Savage will lead the audience to sing the singles’ anthem for 2021, ‘Somebody’s Son’ amongst other songs on the second day and the formerly estranged duo, Psquare will set the stage ablaze with a comeback performance to their loyal music fans.

On the fourth day, Afrobeats king, Wizkid takes over, performing live alongside other legendary Nigerian artists. The Star boy has had a phenomenal year on the global music scene with his chart-topping body of work – ‘Made in Lagos’.

For the fifth day, DJ Spinall will keep the vibes flowing with his mind blowing “Party of dreams” . The globe-trotting DJ has performed at numerous international festivals including One Africa Music Fest in New York, London, Dubai; Glastonbury Festival as well as Afro-Nation in Portugal. His performance at the Livespot X festival on December 20th would be nothing any less.

The sixth and final day of the festival is the Grand Finale of Gen Z Republik which will feature surprise live acts alongside other exciting activities.
