Meet The Fingered “Director-General” Of Tinubu’s Presidential Campaign

All things being equal, the Director-General of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential campaign has been chosen.

He is a former Governor and one of the major powers behind the Tinubu’s presidential ambition in the North.

SocietyNow.Ng gathered that the very influential politician penciled down as the Director-General of the Bola Tinubu Presidential Campaign – at press time – is Kashim Ibrahim Shettima, the 55year old former Governor of Borno state.

Very fluent in English and Hausa language, Shettima has ties that cut across ethnic and regional divides.

“He has always adopted a national outlook even in the employment of his aides” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

Born in Maiduguri, Borno state, Shettima has lived in Cross River (as Youth Corper), Ibadan, Oyo state (where he obtained a master’s degree in Agricultural Economics at the University of Ibadan), Lagos ( as a staff of defunct Commercial Bank of Africa) and Kaduna (as a top shot at African International Bank Limited) among other places in Nigeria.

Kashim Shettima

A former lecturer and banker, Shettima’s journey into mainstream politics began with his appointment as Commissioner of the Borno State Ministry of Finance and Economic Development in mid-2007 by Governor Ali-Modu Sheriff.

He went on to serve in the Ministries of Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs, Education, Agriculture, and later Health before he succeed Ali-Modu Sheriff as Governor of Borno state in 2011.

The friend of many was re-elected in 2015 before moving to the Senate as the representative from Borno Central District in 2019.

He is a founding member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

SocietyNow.Ng gathered that he will be named after Ramadan “all things been equal. He is the person chosen as at now”
