highly anticipated sophomore album, Chapter 1: Where Does Happiness Come From?
Grammy-nominated Nigerian Afrobeat star Omorinmade Anikulapo Kuti, better known as Made Kuti, has released his highly anticipated sophomore album, Chapter 1: Where Does Happiness Come From?
The 13-track project, now available globally, is a compelling continuation of his socially conscious musical journey. Songs on the album include Take It All In Before The Lights Go Out, I Won’t Run Away, Life As We Know It, Find My Way, Pray, Won Na Pa, Our Own, Wait And See, You Can’t Hide, Oya, My Voice, Story, and After The Tears Flow.
In celebration of the release, an exclusive listening party will be held this Sunday, July 27, 2025, at the iconic Afrikan Shrine in Lagos. The event is being organized by FK Management and is expected to be a cultural celebration of Afrobeat music, live performance, and artistic expression.
Speaking on the upcoming event, FK Management said the listening party is not just a showcase of Made’s new work, but a deeper cultural experience that highlights the evolution of his sound and artistry.
Attendees will enjoy an electrifying atmosphere filled with live music, energetic dance, and the communal spirit that Afrobeat embodies.

Made, a third-generation musician from the legendary Kuti family, has continued to uphold and expand the musical legacy pioneered by his grandfather Fela and father Femi Kuti. His latest offering builds on the critical success of his debut album, For(e)word, which was released as part of the 2022 joint album Legacy+ alongside his father’s Stop the Hate. That project earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Global Music Album.
With Chapter 1: Where Does Happiness Come From?, Made reaffirms his commitment to socially relevant themes, musicianship, and the Afrobeat tradition—delivering a fresh yet rooted body of work that invites introspection and celebration.
Fans and music lovers have been encouraged to embrace the messages in the new album and participate in what promises to be a memorable evening of rhythm, resistance, and reflection at the Shrine.
