The Lagos state government has made heavy allegations against the celebrity owner of the fun place, Wonderland.

Ezekiel Adamu, the owner of the one-stop place for arresting fun is accused of refusing to implement prescribed safety measures.

Lanre Mojola, the Director General of the Lagos State Safety Commission made the accusation against Adamu.

The Director General of the Safety Commission alleged that “Mr Ezekiel Adamu had refused to implement safety measures prescribed by the Commission despite several meetings at the onset of the project following an initial safety inspection exercise carried out on the venue to deliberate on safety infractions observed within the facility”.

The accusation against Adamu was made during a joint inspection with the Lagos State Task Force team after Monday’s tragedy at Wonderland according to information monitored on different news platform including Punch.

A guest was electrocuted at the event place on December 26, 2022.

The development forced the Lagos State Safety Commission to order a full closure and suspension of activities at the Kiddies Section of Wonderland.

Mojola disclosed that the closure will be in place “until all infractions are corrected to prevent users from further exposure to risk especially children and to also ensure that other lined up events are safe for Lagos residents.”
