…”Like a formality thing” observers claim

The Local Council election in Ogun state holds this weekend, Saturday October 8 2016.

And according to emerging details many voters are in the dark of this development.

”Even the adhoc staffs to be used are just hurriedly being trained” a source disclosed.

The temporary electoral workers to oversee the election process are made up of volunteers and people drawn from the local government.

”But the feel is not there…there is this lack of sense of an election coming and this is supposed to be a grass root thing” an observer stated

Though Spokes person Malik Ibitoye insists ”we are putting everything in place to win …we are working underground..it is a grass root thing and we are doing person to person campaign with limited noise in the media”

Sources however asserts the awareness is ”very very” low.

Added digs revealed patron of the recognised faction of the People’s Democratic Party in the area, gubernatorial hopeful Ladi Adebutu bankrolled the purchase of forms for all his party’s chairmanship and councillorship candidates in the state.

The Saturday October 8 2016 Ogun Local Government election is expected to kick off by 9.a.m.
