Kwankwaso Gives Major Reason To Support Atiku’s Presidential Ambition

Muhammad Rabiu Kwankwaso has given reasons why he would support the presidential ambition of former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.

Atiku and the Kwankwaso are vying for the ticket of the People’s Democratic Party as party’s candidate for the 2019 presidential election.

And Kwankwaso in a closed-door meeting with stakeholders in the party has provided reason he would support Atiku’s ambition.

According to a source, the former two-term Governor of Kano state disclosed Atiku needs to beat him fair and square to get the ticket.

“He says if Atiku can achieve that he would throw his political machinery home and abroad behind Atiku” a source stated.

Societynow.ng sources within the party insist this development would in no small measure enhance the presidential aspiration of Atiku.

Insiders disclosed the political reality in the PDP – and outside it – is that Kwankwaso is very strong in his base and the northern sphere. A semblance he shares with Atiku but unlike the former Vice President, he is not as formidable outside his base and its environs.

“That is the situation that has put Atiku in a good position to secure Kwankwaso’s support in a free and fair party shadow election to determine candidate” a source stated.
