Kola Adewale Opens Another Branch Of D’Place On Victoria Island, Sacks Manager Of Ikeja Arm, Princewill Ojukwu
K0la Adewale, the money man behind one stop leisure haven, D’Place has extended his business tentacles.
Sources confirmed he is set to open another branch in Victoria Island, Lagos.
According to a source ‘Construction is virtually done with and fittings partially on’.
Mr Adewale started operations with D’place inside G.R.A Ikeja (Lagos) and moved on to set up D’Place Lekki, (Lagos) with Club Papas owned and managed by Mr Frank Okamigbo as the driving force behind patronage.
The Lekki initiative with Club Papas as crowd puller proved a master stroke of an investment. D’place by Papas is presently the barometer for night life enjoyment Lagos and beyond.
‘It is the success of the Lekki branch that spurred the setting up in Victoria Island’ a source confirmed.
Informants disclosed he is looking at a December 2013 opening date.
It is however not clear what strategy would be employed to re incarnate the success of the Lekki branch at the about to be opened site.
More revelations however revealed manager brought in to revamp ailing business at the Ikeja pioneer branch Princewill Ojukwu has been dis engaged.
The friend of many was reportedly told to go over ‘inability to meet up with expectations’.
He laid off after barely four months incharge.
The victim of Don Jazzy’s (Collins Ajereh) excesses reportedly came on board with promises to do better than ‘Okamigbo’ at Ikeja. He wasn’t able to match his words or meet any of his targets.
His post remains vacant at press time, as his former employer- Adewale- focuses on the about to be opened expansion of his business.
