Kola Abiola Admits “Flaw” In Race To Become President

Kola Abiola, the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) candidate for the 2023 election, has admitted his flaw in the race to become the next President of Nigeria.

The son of the legendary giver of many parts, Moshood Kashimawa Abiola admitted a lack of experience as an elected official.

The candidate of the PRP confirmed that he has never contested for governor, council chairman, or local government councilor before aspiring to become President of Nigeria.

“This remains a big flaw in his credentials, especially considering those he is up against” SocietyNow.Ng.

Among the leading presidential candidates are a former Vice President and serial presidential candidate, an ex-senator and two-term administrator of one of the biggest economies at the state level, a two-term governor and former vice presidential candidate and a senator former governor and senator with a very strong sectional following.

Abiola claims elective offices have always been dominated by recycled politicians insisting that he would correct this anomaly when elected.

Abiola who is trying to replicate the famed victory of his legendary father in the canceled June 1993 election – an infamous action by military ruler Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida – without years of investment in the political process and hobnobbing with rulers across regimes by the latter made revelations at the ARISE T.V Town Hall meeting for Presidential Candidates on Sunday, November 6, 2022.

The presidential candidate also declared that the economy is in a precarious situation and blamed bad governance.

“We have an insatiable appetite for Fx because we have no faith in our governance. We have no faith in our leadership,” and added that “No matter what the exchange rate or inflation rate, people are still going to go for FX, because that is the currency they believe will retain value. That has to be addressed. We have to increase our revenue base.”

Speaking on the issue of security at the ARISE T.V Townhall event, Abiola declared that it also stems from bad leadership.

The PRP Presidential election flagbearer harped on the importance of going back and addressing the security-defense architecture.

“We won’t reinvent the wheel, we will look at what we have and make it work.” he asserted.
