“Is There Such Space At Ake” – Reaction To Crowd As Adebutu Starts Guber Campaign

On Friday, December 9, 2022, Ladi Adebutu, the gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) finally flagged off his campaign.

The flag-off was at Ake, Abeokuta South Local Government, Ogun state.

Pictures from the event, however, continue to attract controversy.

The pictures released by Adebutu’s men tell of a massive crowd that indicates widespread attendance.

But oppositions claim otherwise, that the capacity of the venue is 3,000.

The most telling reaction came from a non-political actor reached for comment by SocietyNow.Ng on the cover picture.

“Is there such a space at Ake” the source who has lived all his life in Abeokuta stated.

With Biyi Otegbeye the preferred candidate of Senator Ibikunle Amosun – and flagbearer of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) – battling to validate his candidacy in the law court, Adebutu is seen as the most formidable candidate against re-election seeking Governor Dapo Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the fight to determine the next Governor of Ogun state in 2023.
