One of the political sons of governor Ibikunle Amosun has a burning ambition.

He wants to become a House of Representatives Member.

And the aspirant identified as Rahman Rotimi, who became chairman of the Local Government Service Commission to help the Governor put the council bosses in check as started underground work to achieve his ambition.

According to information minitored on newsheadline247.com, he wants to represent the people of Ado Odo Ota where he served as a council chairman before loyalty to the governor earned him the number one position at the local council commission.

But if Rhaman thinks he would have a free ride unfolding reality as reported by newsheadline247.com is saying something else.

Nurudeen Akinpelu Aina, a state lawmaker from his zone has shown interest in the very same position.

And just like Rahman, he has started telling those that matter in the area of his ambition.

To compound the situation for Rahman the other is said to enjoy more robust grass root support.

“He has touched lives as a state lawmaker and people are pushing for him to secure higher office” a source pointed out.

Societynow.ng learned Rahman though not outrightly unpopular in his base – his recognition is said to pale compared to Aina’s.

And to add to the mix, Rahman’s political godfather Amosun does not enjoy fantastic acceptance in the area.

Both Aina and Rahman belong to the ruling All Progressives Congress.

Emerging talks have it that based on initial efforts, Aina appears to be having the upper hand in the race to become the people’s representative as more people line up behind him based on “past conduct”.
