Idahosa, Edo Perm Sec Sacked Over Alleged N283m Fraud

The permanent secretary in the Edo State Ministry of Youth and Special Duties, Dr. (Ms) Osayuware Idahosa has lost her job, thenation reports.

The national paper says the development came to be over alleged padding of the budget for the conduct of primary school examination to the tune of N283 million.

Three other civil servants were equally sent on suspension for their alleged role in the scam according to findings by the nation.

The paper further disclosed that Governor Godwin Obaseki who handed down the punishment also ordered an investigation into the schools’ delisting accounts in the state.

Further revelation in the report by thenation has it that the decision was arrived at an extraordinary meeting of the State Executive Committee.
