The Vice President, Kashim Shettima was a guest at the annual Group Directors’ Summit Dinner organized by Heirs Holdings, the family-owned investment company founded by the champion of a better Africa, Tony Elumelu.

The investment company committed to improving lives and transforming Africa, through long-term investments in strategic sectors of the African economy, including financial services, hospitality, power, energy, technology, and healthcare held the annual much-sought-after at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja from June 13 – 16, 2024.

Vice President Shettima, one of the high-profile guests at the event, called for ” a more robust collaboration between the Government and business leaders to propel Nigeria’s economic aspirations” while speaking at the occassion.

Elumelu who is the Chairman of Heirs Holdings and Vice President Shettima are members of the Presidential Economic Coordination Council (PECC) charged with “the mandate to formulate and implement a consolidated emergency economic plan” as part of President Bola Tinubu’s “determination to address immediate economic challenges and ensure the streamlined execution of economic strategies”.

Shettima who declared that he was “privileged to grace a gathering of top industrialists at the Heirs Holdings Group Directors’ Annual Summit Dinner” shared – the featured – pictures from the occasion on his verified social media handle (Facebook) and highlighted that “open dialogue, shared insights, and collaborative work between the public and private sectors are necessary to develop solutions tailored towards Nigeria’s unique realities.”

“I also called for synergy between the political class and economic stakeholders, emphasizing that the two spheres are not opposites but complementary forces vital for national stability and progress” he added as part of the narrative that accompanied the pictures from the event he posted on social media.
