Afolabi Salisu Shuiab, the Chief of Staff to Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has hit hard at Senator Ibikunle Amosun.

Shuaib on Thursday, August 25, 2022, was in Odeda Local Government in Ogun state as part of the activities to commemorate the one year in office of council chairman Alhaja Waliat Folasahe Adeyemo.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the senatorial seat currently occupied by former Governor Amosun – Ogun Central – for the 2023 election declared in the course of addressing invitees “I want to be a senator identified by my contribution in the house and not by the length of my cap”.

Amosun, the current occupier of the Ogun Central senatorial seat is famous for his sky-high caps and has been limited to a single term with Shuaib’s emergence as his party’s candidate.

Shuaib used the occasion of the first anniversary of Adeyemo’s administration in Odeda local government to extol Governor Abiodun, reeling out the achievements of his principal since he took office in 2019.

The occasion saw dignitaries and staff receive special recognition awards and financial support to the aged and youths selected from 10 wards in the local government.

The Senatorial candidate also used the opportunity to touch on developments he facilitated to the local government and senatorial district.

Shuaib is a key member of the Abiodun’s faction that is in charge of the mainstream APC in Ogun State in the face of a fierce supremacy battle with the faction led by Amosun.
