Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Party, Muhammadu Buhari has this to say about the role of First Lady if he becomes President
‘ I think my wife will be too busy taking care of my children and grand children to be fighting Ministers and Governors’
This response was in answer to question of who becomes his first lady in an interview with celebrity broadcaster, Funmi Iyanda.

The ‘chat’ was aired on television channel Stv on Tuesday January 27 2015 at around 8.00p.m.
The APC flag bearer admitted to having just one wife in the interview giving the excuse of ‘ it was once fashionable to have more than one wife…but the collapse of the system does not encourage it..I think I will stick just one wife’
The man creating a lot of excitement in the race to determine the next occupier of the office of the President equally disclosed he would fight corruption by concentrating on cases with the judiciary and stipulations to determine what happens to who does what when he assumes of.
On the issue of ins urgency he exhibited faith in the ability of the nigerian army and police to do the battle but expressly stated the need to look at the system and fix the anomaly hampering their performance.
He described the current political and economic situation in the country in the course of the interview ‘ we are in a mess and we know it and the PDP has proven they can not do the job. They better allow someone else to do it’
Responding to criticisms about his age, being an old man, the retired Army General responded that with age comes experience and maturity to do the job governance.
Further into the chat, the leading presidential candidate also craved understanding from all with the statement ‘I want people to understand me and believe me that what I have for this country is the best interest’.
