Celebrity Journalist Babajide Kolade has hit out at friends turned foes who are constantly picking on him.

The star of award winning television programme “Journalists Hangout” took those he branded have lost their heads to envy while celebrating a loyal facebook friend in a post that reads…

I have got to appreciate my brother and Facebook friend, Abass Adetunji for his sense of balance.

We meet people on social media who pile pressure on us to add them and then go on to betray us. We have extremist supporters of both major political parties who want you to support their position however silly or unpopular.

When some people lost their heads and yielded to envy and barefaced jealousy, Abbas kept his. Abbas is solid as an encyclopedia and we sure have a lot in common. I can now see why many big Journalists are not active on social media.

If you show knowledge they will say you are behaving like an “I Too Know”. If you leverage on big sources and you provide privileged information they will say “were you there? Stop talking about the military that you know nothing about”.

Commanders call me directly. I don’t need endorsement or validation by jaundiced facebook rats, when Generals appreciate my work despite the fact that I criticise them.

I am constantly reading, I hardly sleep for up to four hours in a day. That is how to stay knowledgeable. Given the tremendous knowledge that Abbas demonstrates, I can tell that he is a voracious consumer of archival material. Keep up the good work sir. The sky is the target for you.
