‘’I Am Upset…Do Your Best To Calm Down Everywhere’’ Oba Of Benin Tells Gov Obaseki Over Edo 2020 Guber Campaigns Violence

The most respected voice in Edo State, Oba Ewuare 11 has shown his displeasure over violence rocking the state ahead of the September 19 gubernatorial election.

The Oba of Benin expressed his feelings at a meeting he called at his palace between the main political actors in the state to put an end to the violence.

The meeting was held yesterday, Wednesday, September 2, 2020, in Benin.

The respected monarch who combined wit, humor, charm, and barb to deliver his message on the need for resolution of the conflicts threatening the peace of the state, during his talk stated

‘’Your Excellency the Governor of Edo State please enough is enough, enough is enough…I am very very sad and upset about what has been happening in Edo state lately. I think this must be the worst scenario of all the politics that we have been seeing in Edo state….

I want to appeal to you do your best, do your bit to calm down the temperature in Edo state, calm down everywhere, let there be peace, let there be tranquility. This is my appeal. Let us have the kind of working relationship that president Buhari has with former president Jonathan between whoever comes to office. ‘’

It is not a do or die affair.’’
