It’s sad to say this, but coronavirus is still out there. And while we are tired of staying inside, that may still be the safest place to be. At least if you are a Nigerian living in Nigeria, you can console yourself by being reminded that ‘We are Outside!’ is an expensive undertaking. Both on your health and in your pocket.

If you’re wondering what to do if you decide to stay indoors throughout the weekend, we’ve got you.

All you need to do is make sure you have subscribed to Showmax and follow our brilliant guide on what you should be watching this weekend.

Big Brother Naija

Africa’s biggest reality series and the biggest of its franchise worldwide, Big Brother Naija, is showing live on Showmax 24/7. So you can stay connected to your favourite show all weekend long even if you can’t stay in one place to watch it. You can catch the Friday night Jacuzzi party, Saturday night party, and the Sunday live eviction show from anywhere you are in Nigeria. Even better, you never have to miss a thing on the show as there are new episodes of the daily updates on the streaming app every day.

The Buzz

The host of the show and Nigeria’s most popular media personality, according to NET Honours, a data-based award show, Toke Makinwa, is back on your screens this Saturday. She’ll be joined by exceptional guests as she brings the latest episode of The Buzz. The show is the only place to get never-before-seen content on Big Brother Naija and watch the housemates’ secret diary session.

Riona

You can catch up on all the episodes you missed on your favourite Africa Magic show on Showmax. You will get to watch new episodes of the show daily on the streaming app. Now, you can determine whether Aghan survived, if Tsema will finally declare her love, or if Ofotokun has been brought down. Catch up on all the Ireale and Otonu drama in Oyomere this weekend, anywhere, anytime.

Sex and The City

Sometimes, all you need is a dose of nostalgia to make the weekend complete. Catch up with your favourite New York City girls as you binge-watch old episodes of Sex and the City. And with the reboot, And Just Like That confirmed to return to HBO Max soon, there couldn’t be a better time for this binge-watch session. Look out for the SATC movies coming to Showmax this month as well.

Temptation Island South Africa

A little indulgence in reality shows never hurt anybody, especially when the show is as hot as Temptation Island South Africa. Catch up with all the couples and attractive singles to see if things are still okay in paradise. Look out for 23-year-old Nigerian-born ‘Dain’ Ogulu, who is one of the temptations on the island.

I AM Laycon

This one is for all the icons that are still yet to catch up with their fave and see all he’s been up to since he left Biggie’s house. With the new BBNaija season in full swing, it’s perhaps the best time to remind yourself why you fell so utterly in love with the 27-year-old. And there’s no better place to do that except on Showmax, where they have all the real-time juice on the artiste.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow

If you are into superheroes and all that sci-fi madness, then Showmax is definitely the place for you. We’ll recommend starting off with the latest season of The Flash and then mixing between that series and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. You’ll get to follow the lives of DC’s superheroes in the Arrowverse on both shows. You could also watch the latest seasons of Supergirl and Batwoman, starring the incredible Javicia Leslie, who took over the title role after Ruby Rose left after the first season.

The Fight With Grandpa

If you are looking to watch a family-friendly film with your kids, nieces, or nephews, this is the right title for you. New to Showmax, the family comedy follows a boy and his grandfather in a prank war. After moving to his grandson’s room, Ed Marino and his grandson Decker agree to fight for the eventual ownership of the space. The movie follows their hilarious adventures, the story of bullying, and their eventual reconciliation. It’s a great fun watch for families and a perfect way to bond with the little ones.

So tell us, which of these titles would you be watching this weekend?
