Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki is in a state of shock – and sadness.

The People’s Democratic Party’s chieftain’s state of wellbeing is a result of the death of philanthropist, Alhaji Umar Saro.

Saro whose death has caused heartbreaks in high society passed on over the weekend with man reports attributing his demise to complications from Covid-19.

I join the family members, friends, associates, wellwishers and the business community in mourning a distinguished son of Ilorin, frontline businessman, community leader and philanthropist, Alhaji Umar Saro.

I received the news of his death with shock and sadness.

My heartfelt condolences to his wife, Alhaja Atinuke Saro, his children and the entire family.

I also commiserate with our father, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari and the people of Ilorin over this painful loss.

I pray that Almighty Allah overlooks his misdeeds, admits him into Aljanah Firdaus and comforts his family and loved ones as they grieve.
