How Omisore Was “Detained” During Saturday’s Election In Osun

Details available to societynow.ng revealed Senator Iyiola Omisore was detained on his way to cast his vote on Saturday, Mary 9, 2019.

According to information available, the popular politician was stopped on the way to cast his vote by ‘’some armed military personnel’’.

Societynow.ng learned that Omisore was stopped at Lagere area of Ile- Ife.

The former Senator who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress was reportedly kept in place for almost two hours sources claim.

Omisore rode in a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) with number plate FG 295 ZP societynow.ng learned.

Insiders disclosed the armed military personnel refused to Omisore go until a Senior Officer intervened and the former Senator was ‘’released’’.

Omisore went on to cast his vote at about 12.07pm and ‘’overwhelmingly’’ delivered his polling unit located in St Gabriel Primary School, Moore, Ile – Ife, Osun state to the APC.

The All Progressives Congress polled 517 votes to People’s Democratic Party’s 12 in the State House of Assembly election.
