How Oba Of Lagos Rilwan Akiolu Narrowly Escaped Attack When Rampaging Hoodlums Invaded His Palace

Emerging details have it Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu narrowly escaped an attack on his person when rampaging hoodlums invaded his palace in Iduganran, Lagos Island earlier today, October 20, 2020.

The hoodlums vandalized the palace and stole different things of value from the place.

But Oba Akiolu was not hurt.

Details monitored by societynow.ng on thegazellenews.com revealed soldiers who stormed the palace with about five vehicles arrived on time to stop the attackers from gaining access to Akiolu’s haven within the palace.

According to a source quoted by thegazellenews.com “They stormed the palace aiming to set it ablaze and attacked Kaabiyesi but he was rescued by the soldiers who came after a distress call was made to them. They came and whisked him away as well as prevented the hoodlums from setting the palace on fire.

“However, they succeeded in carting away valuables in the process and vandalising some buildings and properties in the palace before the arrival of the soldiers”
