Details of how the shocking arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafara came have started unfolding.

Societynow.ng gathered that Kanu was lured out of his ‘comfort zone” with the lure of huge money donation.

The dangled donation was said to so much that Kanu opted to handle the transaction personally.

A report monitored by socieynow.ng on thecable.ng stated that the fugitive separatist group leader was so secretive about getting the donation that he didn’t confide in his lieutenants.

Kanu who jumped bail in 2017 during his trial for treason, inciting public unrest and related charges, and scampered out of the country in the face of a military operation to quell unrest at his base was reportedly in the net of the Federal Government before his top aides knew what was happening.

The information at hand revealed that the IPOB leader was already having issues about handling of finances when the bait of the big money donation was dangled before him.

It is believed that the recent crackdown on individuals masquerading as Unknown Gun Men (UGM) causing mayhem in areas IPOB is known to have strong reach yielded strong leads that helped engineered the arrest of the leader of the separatist group societynow.ng gathered.

The report monitored by societynow.ng on thecable.ng quoted Thisday as naming Kanu’s place of arrest as Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.

He is believed to have been staying in the country for sometime while passion of as resident in London.

The IPOB lead man was rearrested on Sunday, June 27m 2021 in what is described as collaborative efforts among different security agencies including Interpol.

His trial is scheduled to resume on July 26 after he was remanded in the custody of the DSS yesterday, June 29, 2021.
