How Gov Amosun Made Ogun Health Workers Accept Promotion Without Salary Increase

It’s a bittersweet situation for health workers in the employment of Ogun state.

Sources disclosed Governor Ibikunle Amosun got them to sign off on getting promoted without the corresponding increase in salary.

‘’the doctors, workers, and others have been promoted but the advancement in career is based on old salary’’ a source disclosed.

An insider disclosed how state governor Amosun pulled off the ‘’coup’’.

‘’the governor called their leaders to a meeting and gave them to options

‘’The first option was, get promotion and increased salary followed by sack of those deemed surplus to requirements in order to keep the size of the salary in check

‘’The second option was, get the promotion without increase in salary and everybody stays employed’’

Sources disclosed that the ‘’health workers’’ opted for the second option and got the desired promotion without the joy of the salaries that befit their new stations.
